What a saved search stores
A saved search stores the filters, not the results. When you open it, the search runs again — so a listing that sold since you saved it will simply be gone rather than showing as unavailable.
The new-match counter
The number next to a saved search counts listings that started matching since your last visit. It resets when you open the search, not when you receive the email.
- A newly published listing counts as a new match.
- An existing listing counts if an edit brought it into your filters — for example a price reduction below your ceiling.
- A listing that leaves your filters does not decrement the counter; it just stops appearing.
Choosing a frequency
Narrow searches deserve instant alerts because they fire rarely and the good ones move fast. Broad searches should be weekly, otherwise you stop reading them.
Managing the list
You can rename, mute or delete a saved search at any time. Deleting it does not affect your favourites or your message threads.
