Buying
A freehold listing and a leasehold listing at the same price are not comparable. Freehold is held indefinitely. Leasehold is a fixed number of years, after which the property reverts unless an extension was agreed and written into the deed at a price you already know.
Because of that, price per year of remaining lease is often the more honest comparison. The leasehold calculator in the rail does that arithmetic, including the extension cost if the seller has stated one.
