Bali’s labour market runs on two clocks. Tourism-facing businesses hire hard from May and again from late November, then thin out in the shoulder months; office, construction and technical roles hire steadily all year.
Salaries here are quoted gross and monthly. Ask what sits on top — BPJS Kesehatan and Ketenagakerjaan registration, service charge, duty meals, transport or a housing allowance can be worth as much as a million rupiah a month in real terms.
