Everything on this page is offered for rent as well as, or instead of, sale. Rates are quoted per month unless the listing says otherwise, and almost all of them drop when you commit to three months or more — the discount is rarely advertised, so ask.

Three terms decide whether a rental is a good one. The deposit: cash is standard, and no owner should be holding your passport. The insurance: find out the excess on damage and on theft, and whether a second named rider is covered. The breakdown arrangement: who comes out, how fast, and who pays if the vehicle fails away from the south.

Delivery and collection are usually included across Canggu, Kerobokan, Seminyak and Denpasar, with a modest fee for Ubud, Uluwatu and the east coast. Agree both ends in writing before you pay anything.
