The basic flow

On an escrow checkout you pay Pasaran, not the seller. We hold the funds while the seller ships or delivers, and release them once you confirm receipt or the inspection window closes without a dispute.

The stages

Each stage is timestamped on the order page so both sides can see where things stand.

  • Payment received — funds held, seller notified to dispatch.
  • Dispatched — seller adds tracking or a delivery time.
  • Delivered — the inspection window opens.
  • Released or disputed — you confirm, or you open a dispute before the window closes.

The inspection window

The window is normally 48 hours for goods, longer for higher-value categories, and it is stated on the order before you pay. If you do nothing, funds release automatically at the end of it — so open a dispute rather than letting it lapse if something is wrong.

What escrow does not cover

Escrow protects the payment, not the whole transaction. It is not insurance against buyer's remorse, it does not apply to anything agreed off-platform, and it does not cover property deposits or vehicle transfers, which run through their own processes.

Fees and refunds

The escrow fee is shown before you confirm. If a dispute is resolved in your favour, the refund includes the escrow fee; a partial refund is returned to the original payment method within the timescale shown on the order.
